The Great Artwork Scandal

The Great Art Work Scandal

Babette Cole, one of the the world’s best loved authors’ and illustrators of Children’s Picture Books is offering £10,000 reward to any one who can find 5 of her original illustrations from her most famous books Mummy Laid an Egg and Dr Dog.

Mummy laid an Egg won a Brit Award for Best Illustrated Book. It is the most famous book ever written on Sex Education for Children published in 72 languages and sold over 2 million copies.
Dr Dog is a best loved canine hero published in 65 different languages and sold over a million copies worldwide. It is currently a T.V. series produced by Silver Lining, New York U.S.A.and developed by France Animation, Paris, France for T.V.(Discovery 615)

4 of the original illustrations from Dr Dog and one from Mummy Laid an Egg have gone missing. (see Babette's website)

A hot legal battle is currently in progress with Babette asking for damages in excess of £50,000.

Babette is not accusing any one of stealing her pictures simply that they have gone missing.

She reported the matter to Dorchester Police who advised her to put up a reward for their return or information leading to their recovery.

What hope has a writer and illustrator of Children's Books got against such formidable opposition?

If you can help Babette in any way to the whereabouts of her 5 missing originals please write to:
